Xello is hiring a Director of Growth Marketing to lead full-funnel growth across acquisition, expansion, and retention in the K–12 education market. This role owns integrated campaign strategy, ABM, and lifecycle programs, partnering closely with Sales, BD, Strategic Accounts, and Customer Success to turn intent into pipeline and long-term revenue.

Role Summary

As Director of Growth Marketing, you will define and execute a comprehensive growth strategy across inbound, outbound, ABM, and lifecycle channels. You’ll mentor a high-performing team spanning digital, automation, and engagement, and use tools like 6sense, marketing automation, and performance analytics to orchestrate targeted, measurable programs across long K–12 buying cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-funnel growth strategy across acquisition, expansion, and retention with sensitivity to extended K–12 buying cycles.
  • Manage and develop a team covering digital marketing, marketing automation, lifecycle engagement, and web.
  • Build integrated inbound, outbound, and ABM campaigns aligned to revenue, pipeline, and retention goals.
  • Orchestrate GTM for product launches and strategic milestones; maintain consistent messaging and offers across channels and segments.
  • Partner with Business Development, Sales, Strategic Accounts, and Customer Success to coordinate account engagement and improve lead quality.
  • Own ABM strategy using intent data and 6sense to prioritize high-value accounts and personalize multi-channel outreach.
  • Define KPIs, attribution, and forecasting with RevOps; drive A/B testing, funnel diagnostics, and spend optimization.
  • Foster a test-and-learn culture and connect day-to-day execution to meaningful outcomes for educators and students.

Ideal Profile

  • 7+ years in B2B marketing with 3+ years leading growth or demand generation functions.
  • Proven results across acquisition, expansion, and retention with measurable performance impact.
  • Experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams across digital, lifecycle, and automation disciplines.
  • Expertise with 6sense (required), marketing automation, CRM (e.g., Salesforce), analytics, and paid media platforms.
  • Comfortable partnering with Sales, Success, and BD to co-own pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Strategic thinker who can translate vision into execution across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Nice to have: K–12 market experience, product-led or success-aligned growth, and hybrid inbound/outbound/ABM experience.

Compensation, Location, And Benefits

  • Location: Remote.
  • Employment Type: Full-time; remote-first practices with global teammates.
  • Compensation: $115,961–$153,762 USD, depending on experience and location.
  • Canada: Flexible work (hybrid/remote), 4 weeks vacation, employer-paid health and dental, 4-month parental leave top-up, Group RRSP with 3% match.
  • United States: Remote, 4 weeks vacation, 80% employer-paid health benefits, 4-month parental leave top-up, 401(k) with 3% match.
  • United Kingdom: Remote, 28 days annual leave (including 3 days at Christmas) plus bank holidays; additional days for long service.
