Role Summary
The Senior Marketing Manager develops market share growth strategies for consumers and healthcare providers, leading large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives that strengthen Walgreens’ position. You will guide agencies and corporate shared services across advertising, media, promotions, PR, sales enablement, trade shows, and digital programs. The role also provides strategic counsel to business units to optimize sales effectiveness, clinical excellence, customer loyalty, and operational efficiency, while managing budgets and measuring impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop growth strategies and integrated plans to meet business unit objectives and enhance market position.
- Lead agencies and shared services to deliver campaigns across advertising, media, PR, promotions, sales rep programs, trade shows, and online channels.
- Provide strategic guidance to business units to drive sales effectiveness, clinical excellence, and customer loyalty.
- Manage marketing budgets to achieve corporate and business unit goals; track performance and ROI.
- Leverage market insights and industry knowledge to partner with leaders on positioning and go-to-market plans.
- Monitor execution across teams and adjust plans to improve brand recognition and outcomes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in marketing/advertising, or HS diploma/GED and 7+ years in marketing/advertising.
- 4+ years developing and measuring strategic marketing plans and cost–benefit analyses for executives and senior stakeholders.
- Experience directing field sales, managing cross-functional teams, and collaborating with internal and external partners; strong executive presentation skills and business acumen.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite; contributions to financial decisions (2+ years) and leadership experience (2+ years).
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for business purposes (in-state and out-of-state).
- Preferred: Bachelor’s in Marketing; Master’s degree; 6+ years in strategic or product marketing within health and wellness (managed care, pharmaceutical, hospital systems).

Compensation And Location
