Role Summary
The Territory Marketing Manager is accountable for achieving the Commercial Workers’ Compensation financial plan by managing assigned distribution. You will execute sales strategies, cultivate effective relationships with independent brokers and internal teams, and develop tactical plans that drive profitable growth, select accounts flow, and revenue goals. The role requires translating territory insights into action through rigorous analysis and consistent reporting, with frequent travel across Florida and remote work when not on the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor results; adjust actions and plans to ensure desired outcomes.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the geographic territory and agency mix aligned to financial objectives for Workers’ Compensation.
- Build deep knowledge of market conditions; leverage UPMC WorkPartners products, services, and resources to maximize business development opportunities.
- Analyze, organize, and generate agency data to manage relationships and opportunities effectively.
- Meet regularly with independent brokers to review results, goals, issues, and opportunities.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including analysis of production results and opportunities.
- Solicit, write, and organize content for the monthly broker newsletter; ensure appropriate distribution.
- Recruit new brokers as needed to support growth objectives.
- Coordinate and attend events such as product fairs, trade shows, and agency or association events.
- Strengthen relationships with independent brokers to support company sales goals.
- Participate in or manage special projects at management’s request.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of commercial lines marketing experience.
- 4–5 years of P&C insurance experience; in-depth experience with P&C products via an independent agency force.
- Strong underwriting knowledge and experience; sound decision-making and analytical skills.
- Exceptional organization; ability to work in a high-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with relevant concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams (e.g., accounting, business analysts, phone/IVR support, disaster recovery, technical staff).
- Insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC preferred; Act 34 clearance required.
Compensation And Location
- Employment Type: Full-time; remote when not traveling.
- Territory: Florida (frequent travel required); open to candidates residing in Atlanta, GA due to expansion into Georgia.
