Role Summary

The National Account Manager I (WFS) transitions newly signed employer accounts post-sale and owns ongoing relationship management for 40–45 mid-level accounts (typically 5,000–10,000 employees per account). You will build strategic engagement plans, drive client satisfaction, and represent the University within the corporate and higher-ed community. The role includes reporting on performance targets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting approved client events. Occasional travel and participation outside standard business hours may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Launch newly signed clients and build relationships across a portfolio of 40–45 mid-level accounts.
  • Own strategic account plans covering engagement, marketing, promotions, and events to drive outcomes.
  • Deliver presentations to client stakeholders and deepen relationships with influencers and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and University Academics to align offerings with employer needs.
  • Report weekly on account performance targets; maintain accurate updates in the sales tracking platform.
  • Monitor market developments and ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and policies.
  • Execute multi-location engagement strategies and define communication cadence tailored to each client.
  • Support approved client events; travel and occasional evening/weekend participation as needed.
  • Serve as a B2B resource to uncover opportunities for direct student engagement.
  • Perform related duties as assigned to meet client and organizational objectives.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree; 3+ years managing corporate relationships, business development, and/or service-oriented sales.
  • Preferred: Master’s in a relevant field and experience in higher education serving adult learners.
  • Customer-service orientation with proven results using solution-selling methodology.
  • Strong business acumen; identifies and strategically pursues growth opportunities.
  • Exceptional presentation skills; comfortable addressing large and diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in MS Office; organized, detail-oriented, and focused on quality and accuracy.
  • Effectively manages remote work from a home-based office with limited local supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills; meets deadlines and manages multiple priorities.
  • Willing and able to travel for client meetings and events, including outside standard hours.
  • Active-duty military applicants must comply with DoD Joint Ethics Regulation (5500-7-R) prior to employment.

Compensation And Location

Annual base pay range: $73,400–$148,400 (typical hiring between the minimum and midpoint), plus eligibility for an Annual Bonus Award. Role type: Full-time, remote; Phoenix, AZ is the listed location. Travel may be required for approved client events and meetings.
