Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) is hiring a Marketing Director to lead Westfield’s market-level strategy and execution in Culver City, CA. This role owns annual planning, local activation of national programs, budget stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration to drive sales, traffic, and NOI growth. Role Summary

  • Own the market’s annual Marketing Action Plan and local strategy.
  • Localize national programs and campaigns; set goals and measure KPIs.
  • Manage marketing and development budgets with disciplined tracking.
  • Lead the local marketing team; align with corporate, center, and asset partners.
  • Drive digital engagement and oversee social content through agency partners.
  • Advance local PR and media, community partnerships, and retailer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy And Financial

  • Prioritize market opportunities and allocate resources to the most impactful initiatives.
  • Generate and apply customer insights with corporate Analysis & Insights partners.
  • Monitor competitive trends and inform center initiatives accordingly.
  • Collaborate on revenue-generating campaigns with center and national teams.
  • Report results; understand sales, traffic, retailer performance, and benchmarks.

Operations And Experience

  • Align market and individual center strategies; share best practices across teams.
  • Support center operations as needed, including manager-on-duty responsibilities.
  • Champion customer service initiatives and satisfaction measurement programs.
  • Build strong retailer relationships and integrate tenants into marketing programs.
  • Ensure on-brand property aesthetics and activations across common areas.

Communications, Community, And PR

  • Lead local media relations with national Communications/PR support, including crisis response.
  • Serve as on-site spokesperson for the asset when needed.
  • Guide creative development and media planning with corporate and local partners.
  • Hire, onboard, and manage social media agencies to meet channel KPIs and stay on-brand.
  • Develop community outreach, partnerships, and sponsorships that support the center.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years in marketing or related roles; retail/shopping center experience preferred.
  • Strength in leadership, strategy, marketing, and financial management.
  • Fluent with digital and social media platforms; skilled at content curation.
  • Experience in public/media relations and crisis management preferred.
  • Strong analytical capability; apply research, insights, and trends to plans and comms.
  • Understands RFP processes; can execute and manage vendor contracts for marketing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across varied stakeholders.
  • Flexible schedule for events, nights, weekends, and holidays; ability to travel as needed.
  • Proven execution across large- and small-scale marketing activities; KPI-driven mindset; current on retail and luxury trends.

Compensation And Location

Full-time, exempt role based in Culver City, CA. Salary range: $115,000–$130,000 USD, plus discretionary annual bonus.
