Role Summary

As an SMB Account Executive, you’ll own the full sales cycle for companies typically under 1,000 employees. You will prospect, qualify, run discovery and demos, and close new customers in a collaborative, remote-first team. You will partner closely with Sales Development, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to deliver a consistent, high-quality buyer experience and help shape go-to-market strategy in the SMB segment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through close for SMB accounts.
  • Generate pipeline via outbound prospecting and follow up on marketing-sourced leads.
  • Run discovery calls and product demos that map Torch solutions to customer needs.
  • Collaborate with SDRs, Marketing, and Customer Success for seamless handoffs and smooth onboarding.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and activity data in Salesforce.
  • Share market feedback with Product and Marketing on trends, objections, and opportunities.

Ideal Profile

You will excel if you have:

  • 2–4 years of B2B sales experience (SaaS or HR/professional development preferred).
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a transactional sales cycle.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with executive presence.
  • Comfort handling a high volume of leads and maintaining pipeline hygiene.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce strongly preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience selling to HR, L&D, or People teams.
  • Familiarity with leadership development or coaching solutions.
  • Passion for people-centered growth and organizational performance.

Compensation And Location

This is a full-time, remote role (U.S.). Torch offers a remote-first culture, workstation stipend, and unlimited FlexTime. Compensation includes an OTE range of $150,000–$170,000 plus equity options, with an 80/80 split of base and variable compensation as noted by Torch.
