Role Summary
As Senior Growth Marketing Manager, Social, you will own Thumbtack’s paid social strategy and execution across national and local initiatives. You’ll manage two direct reports, define tracking and incrementality frameworks, build a rigorous experimentation roadmap, and partner with analytics, product, marketing tech, and creative teams. The role also includes agency and platform relationship management and executive-level reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and scale paid social across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and influencer channels to drive incremental customer growth.
- Define tracking, attribution, and incrementality measurement; partner with internal and third-party tools to validate results.
- Lead, mentor, and develop two direct reports with clear goals, coaching, and feedback.
- Translate customer insights and performance data into a test-and-learn roadmap across audiences, creative, and platforms.
- Oversee campaign management end to end: budgets, bidding, creative iteration, audience segmentation, and best practices.
- Audit and evolve the paid social tech stack to unlock automation, stronger signals, and efficiency (especially on Meta and TikTok).
- Partner with analytics, product, and martech to build automated workflows for audiences, creative decisioning, builds, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Brand and Creative on performance-driven, brand-forward social creative.
- Manage agency and platform relationships, push innovation, and communicate business impact at the executive level.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field (preferred).
- 6–8 years managing, scaling, and evolving paid social programs across channels.
- Proven people leadership and track record developing high-performing teams.
- Deep expertise with Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging social platforms.
- Strong analytical skills: Excel/Google Sheets (pivots, lookups), incrementality, lift testing, and attribution frameworks.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets with efficiency and rigor.
- Confident communicator with stakeholder management at senior levels.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, experimentation-driven growth organization.
Compensation And Location
Remote (Virtual, United States) | Full-time.
- San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, Seattle metros: $153,000–$198,000 USD.
- Austin, TX or Washington, DC metros; or CA, MA, NJ, WA states: $137,700–$178,200 USD.
- All other US locations: $130,050–$168,300 USD.
Actual compensation will vary based on level, qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency.
