Role Summary
The Relationship Manager is responsible for building and executing a territory plan, sourcing and closing merchant accounts (self-generated and referred), and ensuring satisfaction post-sale. Day to day, you will engage prospects to understand needs, demonstrate relevant product capabilities, and recommend solutions that fit. Ongoing communication with existing and previous customers is essential, as is reviewing sales activity reports to refine outreach and pursue new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a network of bank partners to identify and develop new sales leads within the territory.
- Sell new merchant accounts, whether self-sourced or referred by established referral sources.
- Communicate with prospects and customers to understand needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Demonstrate product and service capabilities based on customer requirements and use cases.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve issues that arise post-sale.
- Maintain contact with existing and previous customers, sharing updates on new products, services, and enhancements.
- Review and use reports on calls, sales, lost business, and relationship issues to inform pipeline strategy and next actions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, Communication, or related field is preferred.
- Two years of sales experience is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical, problem-solving approach with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
