Role Summary

Reporting to the Director of eCommerce, the Associate eCommerce Marketing Manager will own day-to-day management of priority eRetail and marketplace accounts. You will ensure content quality on the digital shelf, deliver full-funnel campaigns, and support sales with eCommerce plans and execution. This full-time role is remote-eligible with travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee product content syndication for priority eRetail and marketplace accounts, partnering with a Digital Shelf Specialist and distributor teams.
  • Translate omnichannel retail programs into on-site executions with brand, creative, and Trade/Shopper marketing teams.
  • Build relationships with retail eComm merchants; pitch and deliver placements aligned to portfolio and in-store priorities.
  • Audit retailer scorecards, identify content gaps, and partner with brand teams to optimize titles, imagery, attributes, and keywords.
  • Track and report retailer performance (sales, share, content quality); flag issues and drive cross-functional improvements.
  • Collaborate within the three-tier system to advance eRetail, marketplace, and B2B eCommerce execution with sales and distributor partners.
  • Develop full-funnel eCommerce marketing campaigns that grow sales, share, and basket size across priority platforms.
  • Advance internal eCommerce education and thought leadership on category, channel, and platform best practices.
  • Support presentations, reporting, and share-outs on digital shelf, eRetail, and marketplace priorities and strategy.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 4–6 years in sales, eCommerce, and/or digital marketing (CPG or beverage alcohol preferred).
  • Strong communicator with experience leading strategic discussions and presentations for sales and retailer teams.
  • Hands-on with retailer item/content portals (e.g., Walmart Item 360) and tools like Salsify or similar PIM/DAM systems.
  • Proven project manager with attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration skills; shared-services or agency experience a plus.
  • Analytical mindset; comfortable evaluating data and making insight-driven recommendations.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; able to manage datasets and build compelling internal/external presentations.
  • Experience with SEO and keyword optimization for product content and on-site merchandising.
  • Budget management experience, especially for eCommerce campaigns and paid search on marketplaces.
  • Basic creative skills in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or Canva are a bonus.

Compensation, Location, And Work Environment

Hiring salary range: $86,900–$130,300 USD. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, education, and role-related factors. The position is based in Livermore, CA, and is full-time with remote eligibility. Expect travel to industry and/or company events up to 20%. The role operates primarily in a virtual office environment and may require lifting up to 40 lbs. The Wine Group is an equal opportunity employer.
