Role Summary

As the Social Media Marketing Specialist, you will plan and execute a content calendar across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. You’ll create written, visual, and video content, manage community interactions, assist with paid campaigns and influencer partnerships, and report on performance to guide ongoing improvements. This is an in-person, part-time position with a flexible schedule, including availability for two or more Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a social media content calendar aligned to brand goals and seasonal priorities.
  • Create engaging copy, graphics, and short-form video tailored to each platform’s best practices.
  • Monitor channels, respond to comments and messages, and foster an active, positive community.
  • Track key metrics, analyze performance, and recommend optimizations to improve reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Stay current on platform updates, tools, and trends to inform content and channel strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design to ensure consistent brand voice and visuals.
  • Assist with paid social, influencer partnerships, and audience targeting as needed.
  • Prepare regular reports that summarize results and ROI for stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with attention to detail and organization.
  • Hands-on experience creating platform-native content and adapting creative by channel.
  • Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Later, Canva, or similar).
  • Understanding of paid social fundamentals and audience targeting concepts.
  • Creative eye for brand aesthetics and ability to collaborate with design partners.
  • Comfortable multitasking, meeting deadlines, and working both independently and with a team.

Requirements

Required

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including two or more Saturdays.

Preferred

  • Some college or coursework in social media management or digital marketing.
  • 1+ year of social media management or digital marketing experience.
  • Experience related to furniture, home décor, or design.

Compensation And Location

  • Job Type: Part-time; in-person.
  • Location: Tuscumbia, AL.
  • Pay: From $17.00 per hour (USD).
  • Expected Hours: 15–30 per week.
