Digital Marketing Director (Remote) — The Jel Sert Company
Lead Jel Sert’s digital engine across paid, owned, and earned channels. In this remote (in-state only) Digital Marketing Director role, you will set the cross-channel strategy, mentor a skilled team, and partner across functions to grow brand awareness, ecommerce performance, and consumer engagement.

Role Summary
The Digital Marketing Director develops and executes the strategy across paid media, owned channels, and earned/community to accelerate brand visibility and ecommerce results. You will lead digital growth initiatives, manage agency and partner relationships, and oversee a team of three direct reports (Social Media Manager, Content Designer, and Marketing Technologist). The role collaborates closely with Brand, Licensing, Digital Commerce, Sales, IT, and PR to align creative, targeting, and measurement with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute an integrated digital marketing strategy that supports brand growth and ecommerce performance.
- Oversee paid media across Paid Search (Google Ads), Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn), Display/Programmatic, retail media extensions (e.g., Walmart.com, Instacart), and influencer content amplification.
- Align creative and audience strategies with brand voice and campaign objectives; enable in-flight budget agility based on performance.
- Track and report on KPIs (awareness, engagement) and partner with Digital Commerce on ROAS, CPA, and revenue lift insights.
- Lead owned channels: website updates, UX, and SEO; steward brand storytelling and content hierarchy; plan for future email and lifecycle programs.
- Guide earned media and community engagement strategies, including influencers, user-generated content, and PR amplification.
- Define KPIs and reporting frameworks; drive continuous optimization via A/B testing, audience segmentation, and conversion analysis; prepare monthly/quarterly dashboards for leadership.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of three; foster cross-functional collaboration across Marketing, E-commerce, Sales, and IT; manage agencies and platforms as needed.
- Ensure digital merchandising and A+ content best practices; balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
- 10+ years in digital marketing with 5+ years in management; experience in CPG or food & beverage preferred.
- Proven digital strategy, campaign execution, and team leadership across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Fluency with tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, Amazon Ads, Klaviyo, Salsify, Shopify, and marketing operations platforms (e.g., Workfront).
- Strong ecommerce acumen, including shopper journeys and digital shelf optimization; understanding of A+ content best practices.
- Data-driven mindset with expertise in dashboards, testing, and performance analysis; adept at turning insights into actions.
- Skilled project manager and collaborator; excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills; experience mentoring and coaching talent.
Compensation, Benefits, And Location
Minimum compensation is $130,274 annually (eligible for the EBIT Bonus program). Final compensation will reflect experience, education, skills, training, and internal equity. Regular full-time corporate employees are eligible for an extensive benefits package. This is a remote, in-state only opportunity; the role is primarily office-based work with up to 10% travel and reasonable accommodations available for essential functions.
