Role Summary
The Brand Manager provides focus and support for sales and merchandising teams across priority product lines. You will maintain relationships with supplier partners, cascade brand growth targets and incentives, and operationalize plans through inventory management, promotional calendars, and in-market execution to drive placements and displays.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify compliance with distribution agreements and supplier standards.
- Train, develop, and coach sales reps and merchandisers on high-end, craft, import, and non-alcoholic lines.
- Maintain accurate inventory and ordering processes to ensure freshness and minimize out-of-stocks.
- Build and manage a detailed promotional calendar; keep historical records to inform forecasting.
- Coordinate logistics with supplier partners and branches for efficient receiving and transfers.
- Complete new item setup forms prior to product receipt and create sell-in sheets for new items.
- Develop call frequencies for assigned accounts to focus efforts on the right brands and outlets.
- Support selling in placements and displays; build relationships with retail decision makers and license owners.
- Ensure product freshness standards and inspect retail advertising execution in market.
- Increase shelf space and positioning across the portfolio.
- Assist in building monthly sales objectives at the account level; attend department and company meetings.
- Participate in team meetings to add focus on high-end, craft, import, and non-alcoholic lines; execute assigned surveys and other duties.
Ideal Profile
- Direct experience in wholesale beer distribution and/or brewer or supplier operations.
- Two years of prior sales experience; field or retail beverage/CPG experience preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills; ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with iPad/computer applications and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects; proven leadership and decision-making preferred.
- Flexibility to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Move products weighing up to 165 lbs.; repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs. overhead.
- Pull/push up to 340 lbs. on a two-wheeler; hang merchandise as needed.
- Stand or walk continuously; bend and occasionally squat.
Compensation, Benefits, And Location
- Salary: USD $48,673–$62,590 annually (full-time).
- Location: Lubbock, TX.
