Role Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage the Consumer Insights and Multicultural Insights functions, including team leadership and coaching.
- Serve as the organization’s expert on shopper and consumer insights; translate findings into strategies that drive supplier and SGWS growth.
- Partner with regional and market leadership to understand business challenges and develop actionable plans at the local level, including multicultural tactics.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to leadership and suppliers on category, supplier, and brand strategies aligned to evolving consumer preferences.
- Build compelling selling stories for retailers and internal teams using shopper and consumer data and insights.
- Set strategic direction for insights functions and foster an innovative, collaborative culture that drives business results and cross-functional alignment.
- Lead national program development and shopper strategies; recommend programming to suppliers and guide field execution with regions and states.
- Identify and implement consumer-centric sales strategies to drive growth, revenue, and market share.
- Provide strategic oversight for research on consumer behavior, preferences, and trends; ensure analytical rigor and relevant methodologies.
- Lead annual planning with proactive brand and category guidance, reflecting retailer opportunities and diverse consumer segments, including insights by account type and top SGWS states (TX, FL, CA, IL, NY) and national scope.
- Advance reporting tools and analytics (e.g., account segmentation and syndicated sources such as Numerator, Nielsen HomeScan, Opus) to track shopper and brand ownership metrics.
- Create executive-ready presentations and retail programs around cultural tentpoles; align commercial and marketing stakeholders on goals and inventory.
- Drive thought leadership on U.S. demographic shifts and maintain compliance with state-by-state marketing laws.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; 10+ years in consumer insights/market research, including 6+ years leading teams.
- Expertise in research design, methodologies (qualitative and quantitative), and analytics with a proven record of turning insights into strategy.
- Experience with multicultural marketing strategies and diverse consumer segments; strong commercial acumen in the beverage alcohol industry.
- Executive-level presentation and influence skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Outstanding project management with the ability to lead multiple complex initiatives across stakeholders and geographies.
- Ability to analyze proprietary and syndicated sales data; familiarity with tools such as VISTA account segmentation, Numerator, Nielsen HomeScan, and Opus.
- Comfort operating within state-specific marketing compliance requirements and fast-paced environments.
Compensation, Benefits & Location
Location: Miami, FL. Employment Type: Full-time. Estimated salary range: $137,425–$178,690 USD, commensurate with experience and role scope.
