Sazerac is hiring a National Account Team Lead – Albertsons to accelerate distribution, programming, and volume growth across Albertsons’ banners. This full-time role is based in Chicago, IL and requires proximity to the territory. As a senior customer leader, you will shape joint business plans, deepen retailer relationships, and guide a high-performing team advancing Sazerac’s portfolio at scale.

Role Summary

The National Account Team Lead – Albertsons owns performance for the Albertsons relationship, aligning channel strategies to enterprise priorities and delivering against volume, share, and execution KPIs. You will design solutions that grow trips and baskets with targeted ROI, coordinate vertical and horizontal retail wiring, and apply pricing standards at national and state levels to ensure compliance. The role spans Total Adult Beverage and includes leading, coaching, and developing Regional and Strategic Account Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver volume and share growth exceeding plan by helping Albertsons grow spirits/beer/wine/non-alcohol categories with the Sazerac portfolio.
  • Develop solutions that drive trips and baskets with targeted ROI.
  • Build and manage relationships across stakeholder levels to achieve execution, distribution, and programming KPIs.
  • Execute channel-specific strategies, standards, and tools that support multi-year joint business plans (JBPs).
  • Wire the retailer vertically and horizontally to deepen engagement and maximize results in weighted chain accounts.
  • Create tools and processes that translate insights into actions against assigned KPIs.
  • Identify cross-category opportunities across Total Adult Beverage; secure distribution and promotional activity across the portfolio through solution-based selling.
  • Develop and incorporate multi-year, channel-specific strategies into all retailer JBPs.
  • Secure, understand, and apply national and state pricing standards and deviations in strategic account presentations and compliance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Regional and Strategic Account Managers.

Ideal Profile

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of national account management experience in CPG or alcohol beverage industries.
  • Large-format channel experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Experience working with a DSD network; 3-tier experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated people leadership to recruit, hire, and develop talent.
  • Willingness to travel up to 35%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • National account experience managing grocery retailers.

Compensation, Benefits, And Location

Full-time role based in Chicago, IL (must live in or near the territory). Base salary range: $159,000–$239,000 USD. For commercial roles, the range refers to base pay only and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel, or cell phone reimbursement.
