Rocky Talkie is hiring a Director of Marketing & Ecommerce to own DTC revenue, brand strategy, and the end-to-end digital experience. This executive role blends strategy and execution across performance marketing, retention, site experience, and content, with a mandate to scale impact for a fast-growing outdoor brand.

Role Summary

The Director of Marketing & Ecommerce will set the vision for growth, steward the brand, and translate insights into action. You will guide acquisition and lifecycle programs, optimize the Shopify-powered storefront and tech stack, and build a nimble team to accelerate DTC performance while maintaining Rocky Talkie’s community-centered voice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the DTC funnel end to end: traffic, conversion, and retention.
  • Develop cross-channel strategies that elevate brand visibility and engagement.
  • Evolve brand positioning as the company expands into new segments and markets.
  • Lead performance, retention, lifecycle, UX, and content strategy and execution.
  • Oversee the ecommerce roadmap, Shopify site, and integrated tech stack.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team; collaborate with product, operations, and CX.
  • Translate data into insights and convert insights into measurable action.

Ideal Profile

  • 8+ years in marketing and ecommerce, including leadership roles at DTC brands.
  • Deep expertise in growth marketing, retention, and ecommerce operations.
  • Comfortable setting strategy and executing tactically—from decks and briefs to QA.
  • Analytical, creative, customer-obsessed, and effective in fast-paced, resource-constrained settings.
  • Passion for the outdoors and enthusiasm for helping shape an authentic backcountry brand.

Compensation And Location

Full-time, remote role with a strong preference for candidates in Colorado’s Front Range (ideally near Denver). Competitive base compensation ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 USD, commensurate with experience.
