Role Summary

The Vice President, Regional Marketing will direct all aspects of sales and marketing initiatives in alignment with business strategy and performance objectives. You will lead and coach portfolio professionals, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee agency contracting and compensation structures, partner on product development, drive process improvements, and manage budgets to meet fiscal targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and coach portfolio professionals to achieve new business and retention goals.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and the accurate provision of information to customers and intermediaries.
  • Oversee maintenance and documentation of agent contracts and commission schedules; confirm licensing and training requirements are met.
  • Partner with peers and stakeholders to develop and market new products and offerings.
  • Design agency compensation programs aligned with the business plan and agent partner strategies.
  • Identify and implement process and procedural improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Manage budgets by forecasting resource needs, tracking expenditures, and achieving fiscal responsibility.
  • Cultivate intentional collaboration across stakeholders to support growth and profitability objectives.

Ideal Profile

  • Tertiary degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
  • Significant experience developing and implementing marketing strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Extensive sales and marketing background, preferably within the crop insurance industry.
  • Strengths in business development, stakeholder management, influencing, and strategic management.
  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance, risk management, and sales performance measurement.
  • Proven ability to coach teams, manage performance, communicate clearly, and navigate ambiguity.

Compensation, Benefits, and Location

Base salary range: $126,500–$189,500 USD. The final offer depends on role complexity, location, and your background. Regular full-time and part-time employees are also eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan tied to business and individual performance.

  • Employment type: Full-time; USA-based; work arrangement is hybrid or remote. Primary location: Iowa.
  • 401(k) program with company match up to 8%.
  • Up to 22 weeks of paid leave for family growth, with 12 weeks available to all parents on a gender-equal basis.
