Pro Athlete, Inc. is hiring a Content Marketing Manager to lead video-first storytelling across JustBats, JustGloves, and JustPaddles. This role blends strategy and execution—owning positioning, creative direction, and performance for short-form social content while partnering closely with marketing, product, design, and merchandising.

Role Summary
You will own multi-brand content strategy and daily execution, with a primary focus on short-form video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Expect to build positioning frameworks, architect customer journeys for parents and athletes, develop content roadmaps, and oversee end-to-end video production—from concept and scripting to shooting, editing, and optimization. This role may oversee freelance or in-house creatives on a project basis.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Brand Positioning & Competitive Strategy (40%)
- Develop comprehensive content strategies across three distinct sports brands.
- Analyze the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate from big-box retailers.
- Design customer journeys for parent and athlete segments to build brand authority and trust.
- Build quarterly and annual content roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
Brand Content Strategy Execution (35%)
- Own the content calendar; maintain consistent brand voice across all three brands.
- Lead short-form video creation for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, including concepting, scripting, filming, editing, publishing, and optimization.
- Produce diverse formats: product demos, tutorials, athlete interviews, and behind-the-scenes stories; adapt to platform trends.
- Partner with designers, photographers, and copywriters; create clear creative briefs and ensure smooth execution for launches.
Performance Strategy & Optimization (15%)
- Define KPIs, build measurement frameworks, and develop attribution models to demonstrate ROI and business impact.
- Run A/B tests and conduct competitive analysis to inform content decisions; deliver recommendations to leadership.
Community & Authority Building (10%)
- Develop engagement strategies, advocacy programs, and expert content to elevate thought leadership and credibility.
- Build partnerships with coaches, teams, and parent communities.
Ideal Profile
- BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in content marketing with 3+ years in social video production; strong writing skills.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing tools; fluent in TikTok/Reels/Shorts best practices.
- Proven ability to connect content tactics to brand objectives; experience building measurement frameworks and reporting on performance.
- Multi-brand voice management; experience in eCommerce, retail, or sports is a plus. Event/activation experience is beneficial.
Compensation, Location & Work Setup
- Employment: Full-time (40+ hours/week); evenings/weekends may be required during launches or shoots.
- Location: Kansas City, MO; remote eligible for the right candidate with likely trips to HQ.
- Travel: Occasional travel for shoots, events, or collaborations.
- Environment: Team-oriented, creative culture; mix of office and remote collaboration; routine use of cameras, lighting, and audio gear.
- Physical: Extended filming/editing; occasional lifting and moving of gear.
