Account Supervisor, Market Access Marketing (Remote)

Role Summary

The Account Supervisor serves as the primary client point of contact and internal team lead. You will oversee account health and project delivery, align cross-functional partners (strategy, creative, production, medical/clinical, and meeting services), and ensure work meets client expectations, regulatory requirements, timelines, and budgets. The role includes mentoring junior account staff and contributing to organic growth within assigned accounts.

Client Management

  • Serve as primary lead after proposal acceptance and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Nurture business opportunities within existing accounts and identify growth areas.
  • Develop agendas, slide presentations, project briefs, and scopes of work.
  • Lead or support client and LMR calls with faculty and content experts.
  • Provide timely status/contact reports after each client interaction.

Project Management

  • Guide support teams across plans, milestones, deliverables, and approvals.
  • Use approved briefs, proposals, and budget tools to manage workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet or exceed expectations.

Leadership

  • Act as internal team lead and ensure smooth, effective collaboration.
  • Mentor AAE/AE/SAE colleagues; may supervise direct reports based on team size.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and create development plans where applicable.
  • Model core account management tasks (agendas, status, financials, contact reports).

Business Development

  • Partner with Client Services and Strategy to identify market opportunities.
  • Drive organic growth within assigned accounts through value-led delivery.

Finance

  • Develop proposals, budgets, and reconciliations with cross-functional input.
  • Capture team hours accurately across Traffic, Production, Creative, Clinical/Copy, and Meetings.
  • Monitor budgets, labor, fees, and OOP expenses; communicate status to clients periodically.
  • Ensure teams manage to budgeted labor hours and direct costs.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work Central Time hours to align with team and client schedules.
  • Adhere to PhRMA, FDA, OIG, and ACCME guidelines across deliverables and reviews.
  • Align internal stakeholders (Sales, Client Services, Meeting Services, Traffic) on status and risks.
  • Ensure rigorous quality control of client materials and help advance best practices.
  • Contribute original ideas to tactical planning within assigned accounts.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years in an account role within a pharmaceutical or medical communications company.
  • Daily client-facing experience and proven MLR (medical, legal, regulatory) review expertise.
  • Strength in cross-functional leadership, mentoring, and clear, concise communication.
  • Operational rigor across briefs, timelines, budgets, and quality control processes.
  • Ability to work Central Time hours and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Compensation And Location

This is a full-time, remote role (United States). The reasonable compensation range is $90,000–$123,000 USD, with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package (including health insurance, retirement savings, life and disability coverage, parental leave, and paid time off).
