Role Summary
The CCO will own the end-to-end content lifecycle—from strategy and creative direction to production, distribution, and optimization. You will unify storytelling across web, social, multimedia, email, events, and print; align content with brand and business objectives; and partner with cross-functional leaders to deliver integrated, revenue-generating initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Leadership
- Develop a multi-platform content strategy (digital, social, video, podcasts, editorial, events) aligned to brand identity and business goals.
- Evolve digital strategy for SEO, social engagement, and audience growth with clear goals, KPIs, and measurement frameworks.
- Ensure consistent brand voice and creative standards across all channels; partner across marketing, product, sales, PR, and HR to embed strategy company-wide.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a high-performing brand, content, and creative team; foster a culture of collaboration and innovation with internal partners and agencies.
- Build scalable processes for content production, distribution, and optimization.
Content Innovation & Development
- Expand content offerings in video, podcasts, events, and immersive storytelling; champion experimentation with new formats and channels.
- Lead creation and curation across web, social, email, video, print, and podcasts; use audience insights, data, and analytics to inform decisions.
Cross-Platform Coordination
- Align editorial calendars, workflows, and production timelines; maintain quality and tone across outputs and touchpoints.
- Support integrated, revenue-generating initiatives (sponsored content, partnerships, subscriptions) with Sales, Marketing, Product, Licensing, PR, Design, and Events teams.
Growth & Partnerships
- Identify brand partnerships, sponsorships, collaborations, and influencer opportunities; expand presence across emerging platforms and experiential media.
Ideal Profile
- 7+ years in content strategy and development (digital-first), including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven leadership of large-scale content operations driving audience growth and brand reputation.
- Experience with branded content and cross-functional collaboration; strong design and visual storytelling sensibility.
- Expertise in brand voice, storytelling, SEO, audience engagement, analytics, and performance measurement tools.
- Background in media, entertainment, digital publishing, or similar content-heavy environments; attuned to culture and trends.
- Fluent in digital ecosystems (social, SEO, paid, AI, Web3, streaming); data-driven with strong creative judgment and communication skills.
Compensation, Benefits, and Location
Base salary range: $300,000–$400,000 annually (final offer and bonus may vary by location, experience, and skills). Full-time role based in Miami Beach, FL. Playboy offers comprehensive benefits and inclusive employment practices.
