Role Summary

As VP, Marketing, you will own PDW’s global marketing strategy and demand generation engine—from lead acquisition and GTM initiatives to sales enablement and product positioning. You’ll partner closely with the CRO, sales leadership, CEO, and the VP of Brand to deliver measurable programs that drive awareness, conversion, and revenue. This is a remote role with an expectation to travel to PDW headquarters in Huntsville, AL at least one week per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a global marketing strategy to accelerate acquisition, retention, and engagement across defense and law enforcement segments.
  • Define, track, and analyze marketing performance metrics; deliver clear, data-driven reporting to stakeholders and executives.
  • Plan and execute global product launches with Product, Engineering, and Sales to ensure market readiness and adoption.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team; drive product marketing, agile GTM execution, and full-funnel programs from brand to demand.
  • Oversee co-marketing with reseller partners to align brand, demand generation, and revenue objectives.
  • Lead strategic collaborations with technology partners, including joint launches, integrated campaigns, and thought leadership.
  • Provide GTM training and enablement; equip sales and partner teams with messaging, tools, and resources to accelerate revenue.
  • Own content strategy across the lifecycle—from lead generation to post-sales—ensuring consistent, value-led messaging.
  • Lead full-funnel demand generation (paid, SEO, email, events, and more) to grow qualified pipeline.
  • Manage lead nurture and marketing operations (Salesforce), including automation, CRM data quality, and seamless handoffs to sales.
  • Capture and deploy customer success stories, case studies, and testimonials to amplify marketing, sales, and PR efforts.
  • Establish campaign KPIs and conduct ROI analysis to optimize marketing investments for impact.
  • Guide product packaging, tiers, and competitive pricing analysis with Product, Sales, Finance, and the Executive Team.
  • Define buyer personas and equip sales with pricing frameworks, proposals, and value-based selling tools.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years of marketing experience, with defense technology, startup, and hardware product marketing exposure.
  • Proven success running global programs and regional execution across field marketing, growth, and B2G/B2B demand generation.
  • Hands-on operator from concept through execution with measurable outcomes and accountability to revenue impact.
  • Experience partnering closely with sales leadership; comfortable supporting a CRO in high-growth environments.
  • Strong brand stewardship with the ability to guide creative and messaging with constructive feedback.
  • Familiarity with dual-use and defense-tech marketing dynamics and procurement considerations.
  • Success in early-stage, founder-led companies; comfortable in fast-paced, innovative environments.
  • Proficiency with marketing ops, automation, and CRM (e.g., Salesforce); strong lead nurture and handoff practices.
  • Ability to travel to Huntsville, AL at least one week per month; comfortable collaborating cross-functionally on-site.
  • ITAR requirement: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card), or asylee/refugee status.

Compensation And Location

This full-time, remote role lists a base salary range of $200,000–$250,000 USD, commensurate with experience. Standard hours are 8:30 AM–5:00 PM CT, Monday–Friday, with occasional off-hours as needed. The role includes periodic travel to PDW’s Huntsville, AL headquarters and may involve typical office and light manufacturing environment activity.
