OneTeam Partners is hiring an Associate Manager, Strategic Partnerships to strengthen relationships with Players Associations and drive cross-functional execution across consumer products, games and interactive, and sponsorship initiatives. This role suits a detail-oriented operator with strategic range who can serve as a connector across stakeholders and priorities.

OneTeam Partners commercializes group licensing rights for college and professional athletes across licensing, marketing, sponsorship, and media. Founded in 2019, the company partners with leading Players Associations, leveraging group IP to create value in games, interactive experiences, consumer products, sponsorship, and content.

Role Summary

Reporting to the VP of IP Partnerships & College and working closely with the Sr. Director of Strategic Partnerships, the Associate Manager will act as the bridge between OneTeam’s commercial teams and Players Association partners. You will manage relationships, coordinate strategic plans, maintain operational visibility across workstreams, and clear obstacles that unlock revenue opportunities for PA partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support partnerships with Players Associations (e.g., NFLPA, MLBPA, WNBPA, MLSPA, LCSPA/AVPA) and nurture trusted relationships.
  • Align internal commercial teams and PA staff around priorities, milestones, and KPIs.
  • Lead agendas and follow-ups for bi-weekly and business-specific calls; track actions across stakeholders to ensure momentum.
  • Manage PA-facing trackers, shared resources, and documentation for cross-team visibility and consistency.
  • Maintain PA event calendars and key dates; coordinate OneTeam attendance and ticket needs for tentpole moments.
  • Support the PA Annual Operating Plan process and build decks to communicate priorities and initiatives.
  • Coordinate business-focused financial reporting to PAs; partner with operations on efficient royalty reporting and workflows.
  • Serve as the communication hub on PA-related projects, tracking deadlines and outstanding items across teams.
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc assignments supporting commercial teams and PA partners.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, sports management, economics, or related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in strategy, agency/consulting, and/or sports marketing partnerships.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; professional, concise written and verbal style.
  • Meticulous organization and attention to detail; comfortable managing multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset who thrives in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (PowerPoint/Google Slides, Excel/Sheets).
  • Ability to work independently while prioritizing team success; passion for sports and athlete advocacy.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $75,000–$90,000 USD, plus bonus opportunity (range may vary by location and experience).
  • Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, supplemental and wellness benefits, paid vacation, and 401(k).
  • Title and pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law.

Location & Working Arrangements

  • Preferred locations: Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY; candidates outside these areas will be considered.
  • Hybrid flexibility: LA/NY employees may work in-office as needed based on team and business requirements; remote work supported depending on organizational needs.
  • Computer-based work with frequent video conferencing and cross-time-zone collaboration; semi-regular travel for meetings and events may be required.
