New York Life is hiring an Associate, Marketing Strategy and Analytics to join the NYL Direct team in Tampa, FL. In this hybrid role (three days in office weekly), you will help shape direct mail and email strategy across customer programs, from forecasting and testing to execution and performance insights. The position blends analytical rigor with cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable impact in a data-informed marketing environment.

Role Summary
Reporting into NYL Direct’s Customer Programs team, the associate will own elements of product and channel strategy for cross-sell and up-sell campaigns. You will monitor performance trends, develop test-and-learn plans, manage end-to-end campaign execution, and translate data into clear recommendations for marketing leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive channel strategy by monitoring performance and using analytics to surface customer insights.
- Lead planning, forecasting, and variance analysis for direct mail and email cross-sell and up-sell initiatives.
- Manage data-driven campaign execution from strategic planning through production handoff across customer programs.
- Conduct post-campaign evaluations; synthesize test-and-learn results and recommend next steps to stakeholders.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency of data-driven marketing operations.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Content, Creative, Database Management, Product, Digital, Telesales, and external print partners.
- Present performance findings and recommendations clearly to marketing leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Support insight development through data analysis and ongoing performance monitoring.
Ideal Profile
- Motivated, curious professional with a passion for data and problem solving.
- Proficient in SQL; comfortable exploring and analyzing large datasets independently.
- Strong quantitative skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and database/query tools (SQL/R).
- Experience managing data-driven direct mail and email campaigns, including forecasting and performance monitoring.
- Able to balance multiple priorities, apply critical thinking, and meet time-sensitive deadlines with minimal guidance.
- Clear written and verbal communicator who can update stakeholders on timelines, testing, and results.
- Collaborates to refine and implement more efficient procedures for campaign management and execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred; 3+ years related experience is a plus.
- End-user BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy) and exposure to AI/data science are advantageous.
Compensation, Benefits, And Location
Salary range is $55,000–$75,000 USD. The role is overtime eligible: Exempt; discretionary bonus eligible: Yes; sales bonus eligible: No. Actual base pay is determined by factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Employees may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participation in an incentive program. Benefits include a comprehensive package with offerings for a modern workforce, such as leave programs, adoption assistance, and student loan repayment programs. Location: Tampa, Florida. Work designation: Hybrid, three days per week in office.
