Role Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Translate marketing plans into creative strategies in partnership with senior strategists and your manager.
- Lead intake for low- to mid-complexity requests, assess readiness, and align stakeholders before development begins.
- Own creative briefing through execution and optimization for lower-complexity projects; support on more complex initiatives.
- Ensure brand messaging consistency by leveraging master briefs and approved assets.
- Collaborate across functions to build scalable, insight-driven strategies that improve ROI and inform decisions.
- Assist with digital and traditional marketing tactics, media planning, and the creative development process.
- Use customer insights, analytics, and forecasting to define audiences, evaluate sufficiency, and support data-based decisions.
- Monitor timelines to keep programs on strategy and on schedule, escalating discrepancies as needed.
- Contribute to multiple projects with shifting priorities and target completion dates.
Ideal Profile
- Experience: 1–4+ years in marketing, brand strategy, or client management (financial services or agency a plus). The job description also notes typically five or more years of related experience.
- Creative fluency across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C; exposure to video, design, and digital/print production is beneficial.
- Clear communicator able to draft concise messaging and collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment.
- Strong organization and project management skills; comfortable managing overlapping deadlines and priorities.
- Analytical mindset; uses insights to inform briefs, measure outcomes, and recommend optimizations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Certifications: Technical insurance designations (CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI) considered a plus; additional licensing/registrations may be required based on role needs.
Compensation, Benefits, And Location
Salary range: USD $61,745–$119,091. Full-time; exempt. Working conditions are a normal office environment with potential for extended or non-standard hours based on project load; travel as required.

Location: Columbus, OH, with a hybrid schedule. Associates near a Nationwide campus collaborate in-office two days per week; remaining days are remote. Current Nationwide Remote Associates may also be considered.
