Mercalis is hiring a Digital Marketing Manager to drive content, campaigns, and channel performance across a leading life sciences commercialization platform. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, this role builds programs that showcase capabilities and generate qualified pipeline across five business verticals. Role Summary

As Digital Marketing Manager, you will plan and execute digital initiatives across web, email, social, and paid media in partnership with Marketing Directors for each business vertical. You will own the marketing automation stack for top-of-funnel programs, steward website content and SEO with external partners, and translate performance insights into continuous improvement. Success looks like clear storytelling, operational rigor, and measurable growth in traffic, engagement, and qualified leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute marketing strategies and campaign content across Patient Services, HCP Engagement, Payer Intelligence, Clinical Trial Support, and Consulting.
  • Serve as project manager for third-party vendors, maximizing ROI and performance.
  • Oversee corporate websites with hosting partners; manage content requests aligned to SEO and core KPIs.
  • Own Account Engagement (Pardot) for lead generation and nurture: build automated journeys, landing pages, and trackable links; report and optimize regularly.
  • Manage SEM and display campaigns with agency partners; measure impact and present monthly results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with SEO vendors to implement ongoing technical and content improvements.
  • Lead social strategy and execution on LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube using listening and scheduling tools.
  • Develop digital-first content and thought leadership to educate and engage target audiences.
  • Partner with the Creative Director on social imagery, website resources, and sales collateral direction.
  • Collaborate with HR and DEI on content that elevates community impact and employer brand across digital channels and websites.
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, tools, and capabilities to inform innovation and best practices.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 2–4 years of digital marketing experience.
  • Pharma or life sciences experience preferred.
  • Hands-on CMS skills (WordPress or similar).
  • Experience managing social platforms and tailoring content by channel.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation; Pardot (Account Engagement) a plus.
  • Ability to create effective email content and automated nurture journeys.
  • Experience with GA4 for reporting and informing UX and content improvements.
  • Proven track record running LinkedIn advertising campaigns.
  • Leadership skills: influence without authority, cross-functional coordination, vendor management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail.
  • High level of independence, energy, and integrity; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of Mercalis sales, marketing, technology, and operations processes.

Compensation, Benefits, And Location

Full-time position based in Morrisville, NC. Expected base salary range: $59,821–$80,311 USD. The role operates in a professional office environment, with significant computer-based work, regular communication, and minimal travel as needed.
