Medtronic is hiring a Sr. Director, Mitral & Tricuspid Downstream Marketing to lead global commercialization of transcatheter valve therapies. This full-time role is based in Minneapolis, MN, supports in-person collaboration at least four days per week, and involves up to 40% travel, including international. Role Summary

As the downstream marketing leader for transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies, you will define and execute brand strategies, lead global launches, and build a high-performing team. You will collaborate closely with upstream marketing and commercial leaders, represent marketing on new product development core teams, and drive market development through research, competitive analysis, and engagement with key opinion leaders and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define brand strategies that establish a clear, sustainable market position.
  • Lead global launches of transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve systems.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing downstream marketing team.
  • Develop and execute annual global product marketing plans with cross-functional partners.
  • Represent marketing on new product development core teams.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and plans.
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders and industry partners to support therapy adoption.
  • Collaborate across HCPs, senior leadership, commercial teams, market development, medical education, training, clinical, regulatory, and legal.
  • Travel up to 40%, including international.

Ideal Profile

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years across marketing, market development, sales, field training, or related; or 13+ with an advanced degree.
  • 5+ years of commercial experience; ideally spanning upstream and downstream medical device marketing.

Preferred Experience

  • MBA or relevant master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Proven record launching novel medical devices and building new therapies and markets.
  • Experience creating new brands and brand strategy.
  • Strong people leadership, collaboration, communication, presentation, and execution skills.
  • Knowledge of structural heart disease and therapies, or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent facilitation and financial analysis skills; fluent spoken and written English.
  • Project leadership with strong planning and organization; able to manage multiple complex initiatives.
  • Success in multicultural, global matrix organizations.

Compensation And Location

U.S. base salary range: $228,000–$342,000 (USD). This role is eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (short-term) and an annual long-term incentive plan. The base range applies across the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California) and may vary based on experience, education, market conditions, and location. Work is primarily onsite a minimum of four days per week in Minneapolis, MN.
