Role Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Own the digital brand ecosystem for Hot Wheels Adult (DTC, website, online marketing) and align plans with brand and sales goals.
- Lead annual DTC and digital marketing strategies; manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional initiatives across brand, product, creative, analytics, and partners.
- Drive DTC growth for adult-targeted platforms (e.g., Mattel Creations, Red Line Club, Elite 64, exclusives), including product launches, drops, promotions, and merchandising optimizations.
- Increase acquisition, conversion, retention, and loyalty via digital-first campaigns; collaborate on CRM, subscription, and membership initiatives for collectors.
- Own HotWheels.com strategy and content as a brand-and-commerce hub; ensure seamless integration of eCommerce, storytelling, community features, and best-in-class UX.
- Partner with Performance Marketing on integrated paid, owned, and earned campaigns across social, search, email, and display; manage campaign calendars and creative assets for adult initiatives.
- Define KPIs, report performance, and run testing (A/B, UX, SEO) to optimize experience, engagement, and conversion; monitor competitive and cultural trends to evolve strategy.
Ideal Profile
- 6+ years (or 4+ with MBA) in brand or purpose-driven marketing, including 3+ years focused on DTC/eCommerce marketing.
- Proven brand storytelling and audience-led narrative development.
- Track record in performance, growth, lifecycle, and community marketing; experience managing digital product drops.
- Strength in data synthesis, insight generation, and cross-functional leadership; strong project management and communication skills.
- Experience with subscriptions, loyalty, and membership programs; comfortable in fast-paced, launch-driven environments.
Location, Compensation & Work Model
Location: El Segundo, CA | Employment Type: Full-time
Base Pay Range: $123,000–$153,000 USD. Actual base pay is determined by work location, skills, and experience. Mattel offers competitive total rewards and benefits. The company embraces a flexible work model that combines purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility.
