Mars United Commerce is hiring a VP, Commerce Media to lead retail media strategy and orchestration for one of the agency’s largest CPG clients. This senior role aligns cross-retailer planning, insights, and measurement with above-the-line media to deliver integrated, full-funnel programs.

Role Summary
The VP, Commerce Media orchestrates retail media activity across key Retail Media Networks for a major client, collaborating closely with the client’s National Media team and agency to build integrated, full-funnel programs. The leader brings scalable processes to innovative ideas and reports directly to the SVP, Media.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of contact to the client’s central Digital Commerce team for cross-retailer Commerce Media requests, updates, presentations, recaps/reports, education, and thought leadership.
- Provide ongoing thought leadership that shapes the client’s ways of working and business impact.
- Act as a change agent—driving performance internally and externally for the client and Mars United Commerce.
- Partner with retailer-specific Commerce Media and broader media buying teams to centralize strategy, planning, and JBP negotiations; identify cross-retailer trends; and drive consistency and standards across deliverables.
- Liaise with the client’s National Media team and agency to strengthen connectivity and minimize duplication across above-the-line and Retail Media campaigns.
- Expand assigned business by identifying emerging opportunities and securing incremental revenue and/or new business.
- Manage client budgets to ensure agency profitability and contribute to overall department bonus attainment.
- Demonstrate financial acumen across income statements, balance sheets, and sales reports.
- Develop an annual business plan setting short- and long-term strategic priorities for growth.
Ideal Profile
- Commerce Media strategy experience within an agency, Retail Media Network, or CPG brand/manufacturer; 12+ years preferred but not required.
- Deep understanding of CPG–retailer relationships, including Joint Business Planning (JBP), Top to Tops, and channel/category strategies.
- Established experience and relationships with key Retail Media Networks and third-party Commerce Media partners.
- Collaborative problem solver who is motivated to improve processes and outcomes.
- Dynamic influencer with the ability to engage senior stakeholders; confident presenter and clear, persuasive communicator.
- Strategic thinker in Shopper Marketing with strong day-to-day business management skills.
- Sound decision maker grounded in agency, client, and industry knowledge.
- Adept at analyzing results, synthesizing data, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
Compensation, Benefits, And Location
Location: Rogers, AR. Employment: Full-time. Compensation: USD $146,490–$200,400 annually; final pay will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and role requirements, and the company may modify this range consistent with applicable law.
