Role Summary
The Internal Communications Manager will develop, execute, and measure internal communications that promote transparency, reinforce culture and values, and support organizational objectives. You’ll partner closely with senior leadership, HR, Marketing, IT, and cross-functional teams to keep employees informed and engaged—especially through change and technology initiatives.
- Own the internal communications strategy and editorial cadence.
- Support executive messaging for town halls and all-hands.
- Collaborate with HR, Marketing, and IT to align priorities and updates.
- Measure impact and continuously improve content and channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an internal communications strategy aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and goals.
- Create and distribute employee newsletters, updates, and announcements to drive engagement and transparency.
- Support senior leadership with messaging for town halls, all-hands, and written communications.
- Write, edit, and proofread internal emails, memos, presentations, and intranet content.
- Partner with HR and Marketing to ensure communications reflect priorities, initiatives, and culture.
- Highlight employee achievements and core values to reinforce a cohesive workplace culture.
- Collect and analyze feedback via surveys and polls; use insights to refine strategies and improve satisfaction.
- Coordinate internal communications during crises to deliver timely, accurate information.
- Define metrics to track communication effectiveness and iterate based on performance and feedback.
- Lead communication plans for technology initiatives, system updates, outages, and digital transformation in partnership with IT and business leaders.
- Support investor and board materials; assist with M&A communications, onboarding communications, client and external updates, and intranet governance.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- 4+ years in internal or corporate communications focused on employee engagement and messaging.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills; ability to tailor messages to diverse employee groups.
- Proficient with internal comms tools and channels (e.g., email, intranet, collaboration platforms).
- Strong project management, prioritization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, relationship-driven communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience with survey tools, engagement platforms, and analytics is a plus.
- Professional services experience; familiarity with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint; change management communications knowledge.
- Skilled in PowerPoint; comfortable creating clear, visual executive presentations.
Compensation And Location
Salary range: USD $110,000–$130,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs, and is one part of a broader total rewards package.
