Senior Director, Marketing (Remote)

K12 Coalition is hiring a Senior Director of Marketing to accelerate customer acquisition, retention, and digital experience across its educator-focused portfolio. This remote, full-time role leads strategy and execution for a defined business line, partnering across divisions and with agency partners to deliver measurable growth.

K12 Coalition provides products and services that help K–12 schools and teachers achieve transformational learning outcomes. The portfolio spans teacher certification, test preparation, professional learning, curriculum, consulting, and strategic planning. Divisions include iteach, Passage Preparation, Teaching Channel, and School Solutions.

Role Summary

As a senior leader on the corporate Marketing team, you will report to the CMO and manage managers and specialists across acquisition, lifecycle/retention, and web optimization. You will own the marketing plan, budget, and performance dashboards, and travel up to 10% for team meetings and conferences. Location: remote anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi-channel acquisition strategy (paid media, social, referral, and emerging).
  • Identify, test, and scale new traffic sources; optimize the funnel from awareness to conversion for efficiency and quality.
  • Lead retention and lifecycle marketing to improve renewals, satisfaction, and lifetime value; align with product, customer success, and sales.
  • Oversee website and digital experience optimization to lift conversion rates and engagement through continuous testing and improvements.
  • Manage agencies across paid media, search, social, and programmatic; enforce KPIs, ROI, and alignment with brand and division goals.
  • Own the annual marketing budget; monitor pacing, report performance, and adjust strategy to maximize ROI.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team; set clear goals, KPIs, and development plans; foster collaboration and innovation.
  • Support additional initiatives as organizational needs evolve.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; master’s preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Background in SaaS, subscription services, or education technology strongly preferred.
  • Proven success in customer acquisition and lifecycle marketing; track record of identifying and scaling new channels.
  • Strong knowledge of website optimization, performance marketing, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM, attribution software).
  • Experienced in managing media agencies, budgets, and ROI accountability.
  • Exceptional leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; history of building high-performing teams.
  • Analytical, data-driven decision-maker with strong ownership and initiative.

Success Measures

  • Growth in new customer acquisition volume and efficiency (CAC, CPA).
  • Identification and successful scaling of new traffic and acquisition channels.
  • Improvement in customer retention and customer lifetime value (CLV).
  • Higher website conversion rates and user engagement.
  • Positive ROI on paid media and agency-managed campaigns.
  • High engagement, development, and performance within the marketing team.

Compensation, Benefits, and Location

Compensation: $150,000–$170,000 USD. Full-time, remote (U.S.). New hires are typically brought in between the band minimum and midpoint based on qualifications, location, internal equity, and budget.
