The Latino Coalition for Community Leadership (LCCL) is hiring a Development & Communications Manager to advance fundraising, storytelling, and brand visibility. This full-time, remote role supports mission-driven work with grassroots nonprofits and is open to candidates based in California, Colorado, Oregon, and Maryland.

Role Summary
Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director of Operations and collaborating closely with the Executive Team, the Development & Communications Manager will shape and execute strategies that diversify funding, elevate LCCL’s visibility, and foster a culture of philanthropy. The role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution across development and communications workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Development (50%)
- Develop and manage a comprehensive fundraising strategy for corporate, foundation, and private donors.
- Support government grant proposals and submission processes in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward funder relationships alongside the Executive Team.
- Oversee donor tracking systems, ensuring accurate, timely data and reporting.
Communications (50%)
- Create and execute a communications plan that tells LCCL’s story and amplifies impact.
- Develop content and oversee publications, social channels, website, and promotional materials.
- Strengthen brand presence while maintaining the integrity of LCCL’s identity and voice.
- Lead media strategy and response efforts in collaboration with leadership.
Capacity Building
- Create training resources that help grassroots nonprofits strengthen fundraising and communications.
- Support community partners with preparation for public speaking and visibility opportunities.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in nonprofit resource development or communications with strong writing and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace; CMS experience (e.g., Squarespace or WordPress) is a plus.
- Comfort managing projects across development and communications functions in a collaborative, mission-driven team.
- Lived or shared experience in justice-impacted or marginalized communities is welcome and valued.
- Residency in California, Colorado, Oregon, or Maryland is required for consideration.
Compensation and Location
Full-time, remote role with quarterly travel. Open to candidates in California, Colorado, Maryland, and Oregon. Salary range: $80,000–$95,000 USD, commensurate with skills, education, and experience; offers consider pay equity and internal equity, and hiring at the maximum is not typical to allow for future growth.
