Role Summary

The Email Technical Operations Specialist will own the health, scalability, and performance of cold email programs—from domain and mailbox management to deliverability monitoring and compliance. You will also guide campaign setup using internal tools, analyze performance, and build processes that support growth across multiple domains and sending platforms. This role includes vendor coordination and mentoring teammates as the program scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cold email infrastructure, including domains, mailboxes, and sending platforms.
  • Use L2T’s proprietary email designer to build campaigns, write subject lines, and set graphics and copy.
  • Monitor campaign KPIs (delivered, opens, clicks) and report insights to stakeholders.
  • Maintain SOPs and ensure consistent process adherence across products and teams.
  • Track domain reputation and deliverability; proactively mitigate blacklistings and spam traps.
  • Troubleshoot campaign issues and work with third-party vendors to resolve technical problems promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and related regulations; document and report adherence.
  • Manage mailbox rotation, warm-up programs, and sending limits across multiple domains at scale.
  • Build documentation and processes for scalable domain and mailbox management.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and technical partners; evaluate new tools and best practices.
  • Hire, onboard, and train team members; cross-train colleagues and provide performance feedback.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of technical email marketing experience with proven campaign execution.
  • Strong copywriting, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with basic HTML for template creation and editing.
  • Innovative approach to product enhancements and communicating value to clients.
  • Self-starter with strong time management, organization, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of DNS records, email authentication, and domain/IP reputation management.
  • Experience with tools like Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Experience with list validation and hygiene tools (e.g., FindyMail, ZeroBounce).
  • Agency-side digital media or advertising experience is a plus.

Compensation, Benefits, And Location

This is a full-time role based in Chicago, IL with a hybrid work model. The base salary range is USD $60,000–$90,000, dependent on experience and work location. L2TMedia offers a comprehensive benefits package and supports a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
