Role Summary
As Principal Associate, Credit Card Product Marketing, you’ll shape acquisition strategy from consideration through conversion. You’ll translate audience insights into scalable tactics, design learning agendas, and partner with analysts, channel owners, creatives, legal, operations, and martech teams to drive conversion KPIs while maintaining strong brand alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft end-to-end acquisition strategy, from building consideration to driving conversion.
- Synthesize consumer research, market trends, competitive intel, and macro factors to recommend improvements to marketing and business results.
- Partner with analysts to evaluate performance and adjust testing and channel strategies accordingly.
- Serve as a liaison across product, channel/performance marketing, creative, legal, operations, and corporate communications.
- Translate business intent into clear, actionable direction for partner teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external creative and marketing technology teams to build and scale optimizations that lift conversion KPIs.
- Champion the brand and align messaging with each card’s target audience needs.
- Write concise creative briefs, test plans, and optimization strategies across channels.

Core Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
- 4+ years in product marketing or multi-channel digital marketing.
- 4+ years building test frameworks and optimization strategies.
- 4+ years managing marketing intent and developing strategies/briefs with creative and channel teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications.
- 2+ years marketing in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
- 2+ years operating autonomously in a matrixed environment and navigating ambiguity.
- 1+ year working with martech platforms (e.g., DMPs or CRMs).
Compensation And Location
- Location: McLean, VA.
- Type: Full-time.
- Salary range: $117,300–$133,900 (McLean, VA; Principal Associate, Marketing).
- Eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives; specifics depend on the plan.
- Comprehensive and inclusive benefits available; eligibility varies by status and level.
