Henry Schein’s Dental Division is hiring an Inside Account Executive to re-engage inactive and low-activity customer accounts across Wisconsin. This full-time, remote role emphasizes consultative, phone-based selling to drive sales and gross profit while partnering with internal teams to deliver a consistent customer experience.

Company Overview

Henry Schein’s Dental Division supports practices with products, technologies, and services. The company emphasizes adherence to its Worldwide Business Standards and equal opportunity employment policies while maintaining high expectations for quality and compliance in day-to-day work.

Role Summary

Own sales and gross profit growth for a designated book of inactive and select low-activity dental accounts. You will plan and execute monthly call cycles, research each account to uncover opportunities, rebuild relationships with gatekeepers, primary contacts, and decision-makers, and position Henry Schein as a reliable single-source partner. The role includes negotiating within pricing limits, promoting focus products, placing orders over the phone, using reports and tools to prioritize outreach, attending vendor trainings, resolving post-sale questions, and collaborating with internal support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute a monthly call cycle that reaches 100% of inactive accounts to achieve sales and gross profit goals using a consultative approach.
  • Conduct pre-call planning to assess account viability, buying history, and potential opportunities; document current contacts and preferences.
  • Re-establish relationships with gatekeepers, primary contacts, and decision-makers; identify reasons for inactivity and propose improved service and pricing to win back business.
  • Negotiate within established limits or contracts; leverage competitive sales plans, campaigns, and promotional offers to close orders and grow focus products.
  • Place customer orders via phone; troubleshoot after-sale issues and product-related questions in partnership with support teams.
  • Use reporting, tools, and the intranet to manage schedules, track promotions, and identify margin and revenue opportunities; maintain accurate customer records and contacts.
  • Collaborate with Credit, Customer Service, Verification, Inventory Management, NSI Group, Technical Support, and Equipment Specialists to resolve account, product, and fulfillment needs; assist with past-due collection conversations as needed (e.g., alternative payment methods).
  • Attend remote vendor trainings and occasional in-person meetings, trainings, and conventions; stay current on competitive products, marketing, and merchandising practices.

Ideal Profile

  • Two years of sales experience ideal; cold calling or inside sales experience preferred.
  • Strong selling, customer service, and negotiation skills; effective at handling inquiries and resolving disputes professionally.
  • High-volume phone skills and sound telephone etiquette; comfortable with proactive outreach and rapid follow-up cadence.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and ability to learn internal systems, reports, and tools quickly; disciplined remote work habits with limited supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or global equivalent) in a related discipline preferred.

Compensation, Benefits, And Location

  • Base salary (USD): $50,000–$60,000. Actual pay depends on factors such as experience, training, skills, certifications, and market conditions. Role is eligible for a commission plan not reflected in the base range, subject to plan achievement.
  • Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage; 401(k) with company match; PTO or sick leave (as applicable); Paid Parental Leave; Income Protection; Work Life Assistance Program; Flexible Spending Accounts; Educational Benefits; Worldwide Scholarship Program; and Volunteer Opportunities.
  • Job type: Full-time; remote within Wisconsin with approximately 5% travel for meetings, trainings, and conventions.
