Freelance Marketing Manager (Product Marketing) — Remote Contract

Gro Media is hiring a freelance Marketing Manager with deep product marketing expertise to support a B2B SaaS client during a parental leave. This six-month engagement is full-time (40 hours per week), fully remote, and centers on building and executing go-to-market programs across product-led growth (PLG) and sales-led motions. If you’re a customer-centric, data-driven marketer who can translate complex information into clear messaging and enablement, this opportunity offers an impactful scope of work and the chance to collaborate closely with sales, enablement, and cross-functional teams.

Company Overview

This contract role is coordinated by Gro Media, which is managing the search on behalf of a B2B SaaS client. You’ll collaborate with the client’s marketing and sales stakeholders while aligning deliverables to a clear go-to-market plan. The engagement is structured to ensure smooth coverage during the parental leave period and continuity across content, messaging, and internal enablement.

Role Summary

As the Freelance Marketing Manager (Product Marketing), you will set and execute GTM strategies, segment target audiences, and craft customer-focused messaging that resonates from practitioner influencers to executive decision-makers. You’ll partner closely with sales leadership and enablement to deliver both high-touch and low-touch programs, and produce a range of assets including blogs, webinars, website copy, and community posts. Strong writing, strategic thinking, and the ability to distill complex processes into clear communications are essential, along with a disciplined, insights-driven approach to planning, optimizing, and measuring impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set comprehensive GTM strategies that include customer segmentation, messaging, and internal enablement.
  • Apply a strong customer-centric focus to all content and programs.
  • Partner with sales leadership and enablement to craft high-touch and low-touch enablement programs.
  • Create high-quality assets including blogs, webinars, website content, community posts, and more.
  • Distill complex processes and information into clear written communications.

Ideal Profile

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS.
  • Expertise with both PLG and sales-led go-to-market strategies, executing across the right channel mix.
  • Proven content creator who can write compelling messaging for varied personas—from influencers to executive decision-makers.
  • Data-driven decision-maker who uses insights to guide strategy, optimize campaigns, and measure impact.
  • Customer-focused marketer able to translate needs and market trends into effective messaging, content, and sales enablement.

Compensation And Location

  • Compensation: $70–$75 per hour (USD).
  • Type: Contract.
  • Duration: Six months.
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week.
  • Location: Remote.
