Senior Account Executive — Specialty Fragrance (New York, NY)
Givaudan is hiring a Senior Account Executive to drive growth across specialty fragrance customers. This onsite role in New York City reports to a Sales Director and focuses on strategic account planning, cross-functional collaboration, and winning new business while protecting existing partnerships.

Role Summary
As a senior sales and business professional, you will own key accounts end to end—from prospecting and positioning through submissions, pricing, and launch. You’ll cultivate senior relationships, align internal teams around account plans, and ensure Givaudan is well placed on core lists and targeted briefs. The role is onsite in NYC when not traveling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all activities for designated accounts; cultivate relationships with decision makers and senior influencers.
- Analyze customer potential, brand strategies, positioning, and competition; position Givaudan to participate in core lists and targeted briefs.
- Develop, review, and monitor strategic Account and Category Plans, sales forecasts, and budgets for key accounts.
- Present Account Plans to Creative Fragrance Management, Perfumery, Marketing, Consumer Research, Applications, and Technology teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to execute plans and optimize resource allocation across internal stakeholders.
- Attract new business and defend existing business; identify and create opportunities tied to targeted customer briefs.
- Promote Givaudan’s value proposition alongside new fragrances, concepts, technologies, and products.
- Follow up on submissions and manage wins through production and launch, ensuring timely execution.
- Lead negotiation and implementation of pricing agreements; support Customer Care on supply chain needs and Credit Management on receivables.
Ideal Profile
- University degree with relevant post-degree work experience.
- 10+ years overall experience, including 6+ years of functional or technical experience in the fragrance industry.
- Competence in olfactive skills and fluency in fragrance language.
- Proven record of new wins and significant business growth with key accounts.
- Experience leading and motivating cross-functional project teams.
Compensation & Location
Base salary is $130,000–$180,000 USD per year, plus an annual bonus. Benefits include major medical, dental, vision, and a high-matching 401(k) plan. The position is onsite in New York City when not traveling.
