Freebird is hiring a Director of Ecommerce & Digital Experience to own its end-to-end digital product and web ecosystem. This is a senior role for a hands-on leader who can blend strategy with execution across CRO, UX, merchandising, and site operations to drive measurable growth.

Freebird is a fast-growing DTC brand transforming grooming and shaving with innovative products, bold marketing, and a focus on customer experience. The team has scaled to nine figures in revenue through performance-driven growth and is now investing in the next layer of digital leadership.
Role Summary
This leader will own the website and digital product strategy, with accountability for conversion funnels, user flows, CRO experimentation, UX design, merchandising, and site operations. The role is cross-functional, partnering closely with Growth, Creative, Operations, and Product to ensure the site is the centerpiece of acquisition and retention efforts, including international expansion via Shopify Markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own website and digital product strategy aligned to business goals across UX/UI, CRO, and site operations.
- Deliver a premium, conversion-optimized shopping experience that moves CVR, AOV, RPV, CAC, and LTV.
- Lead a high-velocity CRO program, from rapid iterative tests to larger funnel redesigns and offer strategy.
- Translate consumer psychology and data insights into actionable UX improvements and merchandising updates.
- Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of CRO strategists, designers, copywriters, developers, and PMs.
- Build scalable workflows for rapid design, testing, QA, and iteration without sacrificing quality.
- Drive alignment across creative, paid media, product, and retention for cohesive funnels and messaging.
- Own site operations on Shopify Plus, including subscriptions, apps, integrations, analytics, performance, and uptime.
- Evaluate and implement tools, partners, and processes to improve speed, scalability, and decision-making.
- Lead international expansion via Shopify Markets, localizing offers, merchandising, and experiences for new geographies.
Ideal Profile
- Hands-on growth marketer who can roll up sleeves across funnels, analytics, UX flows, and testing frameworks.
- 7+ years in ecommerce growth, CRO, digital product, and UX leadership at fast-scaling DTC brands (ideal).
- Proven revenue impact through relentless funnel optimization and website experimentation (CVR, AOV, RPV, CAC, LTV).
- Deep understanding of conversion psychology, offer testing, and upsell/cross-sell strategies.
- Fluency in Shopify Plus ecosystems and comfort owning all aspects of site operations and analytics.
- Strong cross-functional partner to paid media, retention, creative, and product marketing teams.
- Test-everything mentality paired with the judgment to balance quick wins and bold bets.
- People leader who can inspire and manage specialists while executing tactically as needed.
- Data-driven and analytical, with equal appreciation for creative and brand considerations.
- Experience with international expansion, localized experiences, and subscription businesses is a plus.
