Role Summary
As an Account Manager within Travel Partnerships and Media, you will manage a territory portfolio of hotel partners, helping them capture demand from Expedia Group’s global traveler base. You’ll provide consultative guidance, ensure content/rates/availability are optimized, represent Expedia Group in the local market, and collaborate with internal teams to execute market strategy and achieve KPIs. Expect to travel for partner visits approximately 20–30% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain strong partnerships with hotels in a strategic territory, delivering data insights and needs-based consulting (e.g., revenue management, marketing opportunities).
- Optimize partner content, rates, and availability to maximize conversion across Expedia Group sites.
- Secure additional rates and inventory during high-demand and compression periods; negotiate seasonal deals and promotions to support merchandising and marketing efforts.
- Promote adoption of Expedia tools and opportunities: partner reports and competitive insights; Rev+; dynamic promotions, packages, member deals, and mobile offers; specialized brands (e.g., Hotwire, Media Solutions); and self-service tools (Expedia Partner Central).
- Represent Expedia Group in the local market and engage with tourism bureaus and industry associations to strengthen relationships and visibility.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute business initiatives and drive market strategy; provide coaching to Associate Market Managers and peers; lead internal projects as needed.
- Execute effectively against KPIs and support hotel partners in delivering excellent traveler experiences while promoting self-service where appropriate.
Ideal Profile
- 2+ years in account management, partner/client success, consultative sales, or a related field.
- Proficient English; clear, persuasive communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for travel and a growth mindset; follows through in challenging situations and uses feedback to improve.
- Comfort with innovative technology and fast-changing environments; strong data-driven decision-making skills.
- Analytical capability across market trends, partner performance, and competitive dynamics to address business and partner needs.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building; collaborative style that earns trust and drives results.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask while working autonomously and with diverse teams; consistently articulates the value of partnering with Expedia Group.
Compensation, Benefits, And Location
- Location: Honolulu, HI; Employment Type: Full-time; Travel: Approximately 20–30% for partner visits.
- Total cash range (Honolulu): $94,000–$131,500; potential to increase pay up to $150,500 based on ongoing, sustained performance.
- Starting pay varies by factors such as location, budget, and individual experience; ranges may be modified in the future.
