Role Summary
As Social Media Content Manager, you will create and publish content tailored to Fortnite’s voice and community across TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, and Reddit. You’ll drive concepting and production for short-form video, memes, and reactive content, partnering with Marketing, Creative, Communications, Product, and Game Development. You’ll use analytics and social listening to inform experimentation and ensure content is timely, culturally aware, and aligned to brand and accessibility standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, write, and produce high-quality social content with a focus on short-form video, memes, and platform-native storytelling.
- Lead ideation and execution across TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, and Reddit in Fortnite’s voice.
- Develop reactive, real-time content strategies that tap into community creativity and online conversations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, including influencers and creative agencies, to bring concepts to life.
- Plan and manage editorial calendars supporting tentpole campaigns, game updates, community beats, and cultural moments.
- Monitor performance and trends; use analytics and social listening to refine creative direction and identify growth opportunities.
- Contribute to documentation, workflows, and content playbooks to drive ongoing excellence and consistency.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, visual guidelines, and accessibility standards; experience with AI tools is a plus.
Ideal Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in social-first content, digital storytelling, or community-driven media.
- Deep knowledge of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and meme culture.
- Proven ability to craft engaging content across video, text, images, GIFs, and audio formats.
- Strength in concepting, copywriting, and directing or editing video content independently or with production support.
- Passion for community culture, online trends, and player-driven narratives.
- Collaborative mindset and experience working across teams in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with social performance metrics, analytics dashboards, and trend-tracking tools.
- Portfolio or examples of past social content highly encouraged.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or similar tools; creator-led campaign experience is a plus.
