Role Summary

The E-Commerce Director will own end-to-end technical operations across tracking validation, event QA, feed management, and server-side implementations. You will serve as the bridge between Paid Media, client e-commerce platforms (with an emphasis on Shopify Plus), and technical vendors. Your mandate: preserve data integrity, strengthen attribution, and create the infrastructure that supports efficient media spend and revenue growth.

Ad Operations & Tracking

  • Own technical ad operations across Meta, Google Ads, and related platforms.
  • Validate and troubleshoot tracking events for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Merchant Center (GMC/GMMC) configurations.

Server-Side & Signal Tracking

  • Lead server-side tracking implementations (e.g., Elevar, signal engineering, Meta CAPI Gateway).
  • Ensure data quality to improve reporting, attribution, and performance analysis.
  • Partner with Paid Media to optimize tracking strategies for growth outcomes.

Feed Management & E-Commerce Integrations

  • Oversee product feed strategy, optimization, and troubleshooting via Feedonomics or DataFeedWatch.
  • Manage Shopify Plus integrations and resolve technical e-commerce issues efficiently.
  • Maintain feed accuracy and compliance with Google Merchant Center and Meta Commerce standards.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Paid Media strategists to enable seamless tracking for campaigns.
  • Work closely with client e-commerce teams to resolve tracking and platform issues quickly.
  • Create and maintain best practices for tracking, feeds, measurement, and documentation.

E-Commerce Best Practices

  • Hands-on experience with conversion rate optimization and SEO best practices for e-commerce sites.
  • Conduct technical Shopify app audits and make targeted recommendations (including subscriptions and related models).
  • Evaluate, test, and manage relationships with tech partners to enhance site performance and customer experience.

Ideal Profile

  • 6+ years in e-commerce operations, ad tech, or performance marketing roles.
  • Expertise in Meta Ads tracking and validation; Google Ads tracking, GTM, and GMC/GMMC management.
  • Proficiency with server-side tracking tools (Elevar, Meta CAPI Gateway, signal engineering).
  • Deep experience troubleshooting and integrating Shopify Plus environments.
  • Familiarity with data feed vendors (Feedonomics, DataFeedWatch) and feed compliance requirements.
  • Strong background in event tracking QA and attribution modeling; experience across both agency and brand sides preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with clear communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Compensation & Location

Salary range: $90,000–$110,000 USD. Employment type: Full-time. Location: Remote.
