Role Summary
As Senior Copywriter, you will lead copy development for campaigns spanning email, print, out-of-home, digital advertising, website, in-museum screens, video, and social. You’ll translate complex ideas into accessible messages, collaborate closely with marketing, design, and production teams, and iterate based on performance data to meet attendance, engagement, and revenue goals while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop campaign concepts and copy aligned to brand voice across email, print, OOH, digital, web, and video.
- Partner with marketing, design, strategy, and production to craft narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and adapting to shifting requirements.
- Translate complex exhibition and program themes into clear, actionable messages and calls to action.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy of copy across all touchpoints; uphold brand standards and tone.
- Contribute ideas in brainstorms and creative reviews; incorporate feedback from leadership and stakeholders.
- Monitor content performance and apply insights to refine messaging and improve outcomes.
- Collaborate to align copy with visual assets and production requirements across channels.
- Copyedit all assigned work for clarity, grammar, and factual correctness.
- Maintain process documentation and track revisions throughout implementation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of professional copywriting experience in marketing, advertising, or a creative agency.
- Portfolio demonstrating campaign-driven work across digital, print, video, and out-of-home channels.
- Mastery of persuasive, audience-focused writing; strong copyediting and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt tone and messaging for different platforms and audience segments.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable collaborating with designers, marketers, and content producers; receptive to feedback from creative leadership.
- Strategic thinker with understanding of audience engagement strategies and performance metrics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Asana, SharePoint, CMS tools, and basic SEO principles.
- Upholds confidentiality, professionalism, and high ethical standards; supports the museum’s public mission.
Compensation And Location
This is a full-time, exempt position based in Bentonville, AR. The expected salary range is $53,340–$65,100 USD, commensurate with experience. Work is primarily in office and museum environments with low to moderate noise; the role involves extended computer use and regular cross-team collaboration.
