Role Summary
The Sr. Manager, Competitive shapes and executes local marketing plans, builds competitive strategies, and leads analyses that inform market decisions. The role manages budgets, oversees promotions and events, coordinates with Direct Sales, and serves as the marketing contact for employees and vendors. You will design and measure campaigns (including direct mail and digital), maintain market and demographic data, track trends, and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage marketing expenses and ensure adherence to budget parameters.
- Plan and execute local promotions, events marketing, and coordination with Direct Sales.
- Identify, prioritize, and size strategic analytics opportunities with Marketing and Sales partners.
- Gather and share campaign information and customer feedback to align teams and decisions.
- Maintain demographic and market data to support goals and segmentation needs.
- Engage stakeholders in developing and launching marketing plans and initiatives.
- Translate business needs into analyses that deliver customer, product, and market insights.
- Sustain and improve ongoing marketing programs, analytics, dashboards, and reports.
- Develop new ideas and use cases for analytics across the business.
- Deploy and measure direct mail and digital campaigns; analyze response and performance.
- Track market trends, draw conclusions, and recommend improvements to strategies and tactics.
Ideal Profile
- 7–10 years of relevant marketing and analytics experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; a blend of coursework and experience may be considered.
- Strength in marketing strategy, competitive insights, and campaign analytics.
- Proven ability to translate data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Collaborative leader able to work effectively with Sales, Direct Sales, and vendors.
- Comfortable with variable schedules; consistent, punctual attendance as needed.
- Embraces a customer-first mindset, teamwork, inclusion, results, and feedback (Net Promoter System).
Compensation, Benefits, And Location
This is a full-time role based in Houston, TX. Base pay is part of Comcast’s Total Rewards; most non-sales positions are eligible for a bonus under applicable plans.
