Role Summary

The Account Manager, Sales will own a defined geography, leading channel partner development and direct engagement with strategic end-user accounts. The primary sales focus spans powered and manual hoists, with additional familiarity in rigging and engineered products. Success in this role requires building trusted relationships, executing business plans, enabling distributor performance, and differentiating CMCO’s offerings through both product and service value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate territory business plans and strategies to grow sales revenue and market share.
  • Engage in consultative selling with emphasis on large end-user accounts while strengthening channel relationships.
  • Implement commercial programs, target marketing initiatives, promotions, training, and product launches through the channel.
  • Develop distributors at all levels and maintain relationships with both Channel Partners and End Users across the territory.
  • Analyze target account requirements and create penetration plans to increase share of wallet and market presence.
  • Leverage distribution and CMCO resources to provide required technical expertise and solution support to customers.
  • Resolve territory issues involving marketing, pricing, product questions, warranties, and product modifications (specials).
  • Measure distributor performance; implement improvement programs for new units and parts sales as needed.
  • Manage new product launches and promotional programs through the distribution network; deliver sales workshops when required.
  • Collect and report competitor trends and strategies; maintain a healthy sales opportunity funnel and accurate forecasts.
  • Coach distribution personnel, assess competency in supporting CMCO brands, and ensure consistently high distributor capabilities.

Ideal Profile

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; confident presenting workshops and training.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude who adapts quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • 5+ years of field sales experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • >50% travel (driving and flying); remote in-home office; must reside within assigned territory.

Compensation and Location

Location: Remote (territory-based). Travel exceeds 50% to support distributors and end users. The posted base salary range is USD $61,528–$83,227. This role requires residency within the assigned territory and the ability to work from a remote in-home office.
