Colorado Christian University (CCU) is hiring a Marketing Content Specialist to capture and curate authentic stories that advance campus-wide marketing initiatives. This full-time, on-site role blends content sourcing, production coordination, and cross-team collaboration to deliver timely video and photo assets aligned with brand standards and campaign goals.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Marketing Director for the College of Undergraduate Studies and working closely with the Senior Digital Engagement Specialist, the Marketing Content Specialist sources, organizes, and curates video and photo assets across channels for both the College of Undergraduate Studies and the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. Success is measured by content volume and quality, alignment with campaigns, social engagement, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and procure stories, videos, testimonials, photos, quotes, and milestones for campaigns and digital media.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and students to surface content opportunities and gather assets.
  • Conduct interviews and capture quotes to support storytelling initiatives.
  • Attend campus events and student activities to proactively capture behind-the-scenes content.
  • Build relationships with student leaders, clubs, and organizers to stay ahead of events.
  • Maintain an organized system and archive; tag assets by theme, event, date, and relevance.
  • Coordinate approvals, rights, releases, and usage permissions in line with university policies.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand standards, messaging guidelines, and the student handbook.
  • Align collected content with content calendars, campaign themes, and messaging priorities.
  • Support content-driven projects with creative and digital teams across platforms.
  • Provide input on content strategy using audience trends and engagement data.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to shifting needs and real-time opportunities.

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years in marketing, content coordination, and/or communications.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Creative eye for visual storytelling across photo and video.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable in deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong organization and project management with attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker who tailors content to different audiences and platforms.
  • Familiarity with social platforms, content calendars, and marketing workflows.
  • Understanding of visual and written content best practices.
  • Comfortable conducting interviews and sourcing stories professionally.
  • Team-player mindset with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills (preferred).

Compensation, Benefits, and Location

This is a full-time, exempt, on-site role based in Lakewood, CO. Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States; occasional evenings/weekends and light lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.

  • Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour, based on internal/external equity and qualifications.
  • Benefits: tuition waiver program, healthcare, generous PTO, and matching 403(b), plus additional organizational and voluntary benefits.
  • Work environment: mix of walking, standing, and sitting; role may require clear communication and appropriate vision/hearing capabilities.
  • Location: regular work location is CCU’s Lakewood, Colorado campus.
