Strategic Communicator — CACI International (Chantilly, VA)

CACI International is hiring a Strategic Communicator to lead integrated internal and external communications in support of national security programs. This full-time role in Chantilly, VA requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph and proven experience developing strategies, content, and campaigns for complex, mission-driven organizations.

Role Summary

You will support Public Affairs and collaborate with the Design team to develop and implement communications strategies for the NRO/Aerospace Data Facility–Colorado (ADF-C), aligned to mission guidance. The work spans public affairs, media relations, employee communications, digital content, and events to build awareness, drive engagement, and ensure consistent messaging across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute internal communications that increase awareness, collaboration, and engagement across the workforce.
  • Develop internal communication plans for programs and initiatives; draft emails, memos, and leadership messages.
  • Create print and digital materials such as handbooks, one-pagers, and flyers to support change and engagement efforts.
  • Manage and produce content for internal blogs, newsletters, websites, and other publications; facilitate brainstorming and training sessions.
  • Draft speeches, talking points, and key messages for senior leaders; convene internal communications working groups to ensure message consistency for the NRO.
  • Create integrated external communications plans for major initiatives and activities to build local and national awareness of the mission.
  • Develop earned media strategies across public and trade outlets; prepare press materials, news stories, scripts, testimony, and presentations.
  • Craft new media content and strategies for social channels (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), blogs, podcasts, and web media; schedule interviews and support media training.
  • Provide transcription services and support event and exhibit strategies, logistics, and execution for key engagements.
  • Evaluate web, social, and press analytics to assess impact and recommend data-informed adjustments to plans and content.

Ideal Profile

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (required).
  • BA in communications, journalism, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience; or MA with 6+ years (required).
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or U.S. Government contracts (desired).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with short-notice taskings and high-pressure deadlines (desired).
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop communication plans and content, including news stories, social media, marketing assets, and multimedia products.
  • Experience drafting and preparing speeches, scripts, and messages for senior leaders for both internal and external audiences.
  • Background in external outreach, large-scale event management, and partnership development; ability to advise senior officials and stakeholders.
  • Comfort using analytics from web, social, and press to guide strategy and execution.

Compensation And Location

Job type: Full-time. Location: Chantilly, VA. Travel: None. Minimum clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph. The proposed salary range is USD $98,800–$217,500. Final compensation may vary based on factors such as location, contract labor categories and rates, experience, skills, education, and certifications. CACI notes a comprehensive benefits program and flexible time-off approach.
