Role Summary

The Account Manager, Senior assumes end-to-end commercial responsibility for one or more Aftermarket customers (typically $20–25M+ in annual revenue). You will set and execute the sales and marketing plan for assigned regions, buying groups, national accounts, or customers; manage current business for long-term profitability; and drive new business closures. The role coordinates closely with product, operations, and finance, and may manage and train a team of customer-facing sales staff. Travel up to 75% is required to support trade shows and on-site customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own commercial strategy and execution for assigned product/market segments and customers.
  • Lead closure of new business opportunities within established sales and marketing processes.
  • Develop and manage marketing and sales plans; deliver accurate forecasts to inform budgets, resources, and capital planning.
  • Drive new product development investments via research, market specifications, and business case inputs.
  • Manage current business to maximize long-term profitability and customer satisfaction; achieve bookings aligned to margin and ROI targets.
  • Serve as primary customer interface; build relationships with key decision-makers and coach internal account teams.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer developments; inform monthly forecast updates and pricing strategies.
  • Support cross-functional NPI processes to ensure timely product launches and efficient design/application decisions.
  • Develop the commercial organization through training, coaching, and process improvements; manage within annual budget constraints.
  • Champion adherence to commercial policies, contract review procedures, and safety, health, and environmental standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of sales and marketing experience in the automotive industry; automotive aftermarket experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong grasp of automotive business processes and managerial finance.
  • Proven commercial negotiation skills and program management capability; adept with MS Office and Teams.
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%); valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.

Compensation, Benefits, and Location

Salary Range: $104,800–$144,100 USD. This is a full-time role based in Arden, NC.
