Role Summary

The Account Executive will own the sales cycle from prospecting to close, with a mandate to create and convert new opportunities within middle-market accounts. You will lead event-driven and outbound motions, qualify executive stakeholders, scope solutions with internal experts, and present clear value propositions that align with client needs. The ideal candidate brings professional services or consulting experience, quota-carrying success, and the discipline to manage a robust pipeline in a fast-moving environment. This is a remote role based in Austin, TX, with regular travel for industry events and client meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive top-of-funnel through events, conferences, trade shows, networking, and cold outreach.
  • Plan pre-event research, book meetings, and manage end-to-end event follow-up in CRM.
  • Articulate compelling value propositions to expand brand awareness and market presence.
  • Identify decision-makers, qualify pain points, and align solutions to business outcomes.
  • Build and execute account-specific action plans to accelerate revenue growth.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from outreach and proposal to negotiation and close.
  • Collaborate with customer success, sales engineering, and delivery to scope solutions.
  • Present tailored proposals that communicate clear value and implementation approach.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene and activity tracking in CRM and related tools.
  • Meet or exceed targets while staying current on products, services, and client needs.

Ideal Profile

  • 4–7 years in professional services or consulting across sales, BD, or account management.
  • Quota-carrying experience negotiating and closing technology projects with middle-market buyers.
  • Strength in networking, relationship building, and executive-level communication and presentations.
  • Skilled in pre-call planning, research, needs-based discovery, and RFI/RFP responses.
  • Proficient with CRM and lead management tools; experience with HubSpot or Salesforce a plus.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic sales plans and account strategies.
  • Organized, self-motivated hunter with strong time management and a results-focused mindset.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% for events and meetings; proven event networking ability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field preferred (not required).
  • Familiarity with sales automation, ZoomInfo, Confluence, Asana, and similar tools is helpful.

Compensation and Location

Base salary: USD $90,000–$110,000 with anticipated OTE of $161,000–$205,000. The role is 100% remote with an option for hybrid; location is Austin, TX. Travel up to 50% is expected for events and sales activities. Background checks may be required for certain positions or projects. Blue Orange Digital is an equal-opportunity employer.
