Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Copy sets copy strategy, defines editorial standards, and manages processes that scale quality and efficiency. You will mentor a team of copywriters, partner with design, marketing, product, and legal, and apply performance insights to refine messaging for clarity, engagement, and conversion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop copywriters to achieve high performance.
  • Define copy strategy aligned with brand voice and marketing goals.
  • Oversee copy for email, digital advertising, promotions, product, social, and editorial content.
  • Establish and maintain tone-of-voice and editorial guidelines across channels.
  • Build scalable processes, templates, and review workflows for quality and speed.
  • Partner with marketing, design, product, and legal to align messaging with objectives and compliance.
  • Review performance metrics and drive data-informed optimizations.
  • Champion creative reviews and editorial QA to ensure on-brand outputs.
  • Stay current on consumer trends and emerging storytelling formats.
  • Promote a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Profile

  • 6+ years in copywriting, content strategy, or editorial leadership (marketing, e-commerce, or digital media preferred).
  • Proven success managing and growing high-performing creative teams.
  • Expertise in brand voice, storytelling, and persuasive short- and long-form copy.
  • Experience developing style guides, editorial systems, and scalable content processes.
  • Exceptional editing skills with strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong collaboration and communication; able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with performance marketing metrics to guide messaging decisions.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Figma is a plus (for reviewing copy in design).
  • BA/BS in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience hiring and leading diverse teams.

Compensation, Benefits, And Location

Salary range: $100,000–$125,000 USD. Employment type: Full-time. Location: Center, TX. Physical requirements include periods of sitting/standing, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, and regular bending/stooping/reaching.
