Bechtel is hiring a project-focused communications professional to support the Corpus Christi LNG expansion. This full-time, on-site role will shape internal and external messaging, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and help maintain a positive project culture throughout construction. Project Overview

The Corpus Christi LNG (CCL) facility is in Gregory, Texas, approximately 14 miles northeast of Corpus Christi. Bechtel received full notice to proceed (FNTP) for CCL Stage 3A in June 2022, encompassing seven midscale liquefaction trains (about 10 MTPA combined capacity) plus associated facilities and utilities. In June 2025, Cheniere awarded FNTP for the Stage 3B expansion—Midscale Trains 8 and 9 and a debottlenecking program—adding two midscale trains (about 5 MTPA combined capacity) and operational enhancements.

Role Summary

Bechtel Energy seeks a communications professional to support project-wide communications for CCL. The role develops clear, timely content that informs the workforce, engages stakeholders, and supports a positive site culture. You will collaborate with project leadership, subcontractors, customer representatives, media, and corporate affairs teams to proactively manage project and company reputation across construction phases. This position is based at the CCL jobsite in Gregory, TX (listed location: Portland, TX).

Key Responsibilities

• Translate milestones and performance metrics into clear communications for those managing and performing the work.
• Generate story ideas; write and edit for internal and external channels, including Bechtel.com, SharePoint, email, online promotions, and marketing materials.
• Promote project activities to help build a positive and engaging culture across the site.
• Develop strategies that educate the workforce about upcoming changes through concise, timely information.
• Engage and collaborate with the customer and stakeholders on communications matters and expectations.
• Support all disciplines with materials such as presentations, bulletins, toolbox talks, posters, and other content.
• Capture project imagery through photography and videography to document progress and tell the project story.
• Coordinate, manage, and participate in onsite and community events and activities.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
• 6+ years in journalism, marketing communications, or communications (writing samples may be requested).
• Proven internal communications experience; ability to translate technical information for targeted audiences.
• Exceptional writing and editing; quick learner who communicates complex concepts concisely and clearly.
• Sound judgment, discretion, attention to detail, and ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to take direction from multiple sources, prioritize effectively, manage multiple campaigns, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and email content management systems.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus; construction and/or LNG industry experience is a plus.

Compensation And Location

• Salary range: USD 87,506–139,168.
• Employment type: Full-time; telework type: Full-time Office/Project (on-site).
• Location: Portland, TX; position based at the Corpus Christi LNG jobsite in Gregory, TX.
