Barrett-Jackson Auction Company is hiring a Social Media Manager to lead strategy, content, and team operations across owned channels. This full-time role is ideal for a self-driven marketer with a strong creative eye, analytical rigor, and experience building digital-first campaigns in sports, entertainment, or lifestyle categories.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Director, Digital Content Production, the Social Media Manager will own the social strategy across platforms, oversee a full-time team and seasonal creators/influencers, and partner cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class content and measurable growth. The manager will drive planning (editorial calendars, forecasts), creation (written, photo, video, livestreams), distribution, and performance reporting, ensuring partner activations are maximized and brand standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee social team, strategy, and execution to drive organic traffic and audience growth across owned channels.
  • Develop and execute editorial calendars, content creation workflows, performance forecasts and reports, and insights-driven plans.
  • Create content for new and emerging social platforms; test and iterate to optimize impact.
  • Report on growth, engagement, conversation, and amplification; meet KPI goals and refine strategy based on performance data.
  • Lead development of written, photo, and video content aligned with brand DNA and partner needs.
  • Develop and implement an omnichannel strategy across paid and organic surfaces.
  • Maintain a forward-looking team calendar and social posting schedules to coordinate launches and event coverage.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Video, Bidders, Consignment, and VIP teams to ensure social supports broader business priorities.
  • Monitor real-time data and adjust tactics to achieve desired results across editorial and client campaigns.
  • Oversee a full-time team and seasonal network of influencers, creators, and amplification managers; manage Lives and livestreams on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Identify and develop revenue-generating campaigns and custom content activations in partnership with Sales and Marketing.
  • Manage paid social budgets and craft platform-endemic strategies for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Ideal Profile

  • 3–5 years of social media management experience, including team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Hands-on posting for brand accounts; familiarity with tools like Sprout Social, Loomly, or similar.
  • Proven ability to create for new and emerging platforms and formats.
  • Concise, effective social copywriting and a refined creative taste level.
  • Experience running brand and sponsor campaigns with measurable outcomes; KPI-driven mindset.
  • Comfort adapting content for Posts, Stories, Reels, and TikTok; strong understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; able to prioritize multiple projects and turn content quickly.
  • Willing to work extended and irregular hours; experience in live events is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and back up media on a media server as you work.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and collector vehicles is a plus; interest in motorsports is beneficial.

Compensation, Schedule, And Location

This is a full-time role based onsite in Scottsdale, AZ. Standard office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with travel, weekend work, and long days during live events. The expected annual salary range is $60,131–$78,499 USD, commensurate with experience.
