Amaia Pets is hiring a part-time Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to shape its early social presence and community. This contract role is ideal for a creator-editor who enjoys working in fast-moving startup environments and has a keen eye for short-form video. You’ll collaborate closely with a small team, help define the brand’s voice, and create content that resonates with pet-loving audiences. LA-area candidates are required for occasional in-person shoots and team meetups.

Role Summary
As the Social Media & Marketing Coordinator, you’ll plan, create, and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, bringing a playful, cheeky voice to life. You’ll shoot and edit short-form videos, capture lifestyle photography, and keep conversations going with an engaged community. The role includes supporting product launches, brainstorming creative campaigns, and reporting on what works to guide ongoing strategy. This is a part-time, contract position based in Marina del Rey, CA, with a hybrid setup and periodic on-site shoots.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute a content calendar for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook aligned to a playful, cheeky brand voice.
- Shoot and edit engaging short-form videos, capture lifestyle photos, and write scroll-stopping captions.
- Build community by replying to comments, answering DMs, and sustaining authentic conversations.
- Support brand campaigns, including guerrilla ideas, influencer partnerships, and viral concepts.
- Track performance and report on growth, engagement, and campaign results to refine strategy.
- Create buzz around product launches with teasers, countdowns, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Bonus: Draft short scripts for video content that is emotional, inviting, and informative.
Ideal Profile
- Proven experience in social media content creation (DTC or pet brand experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of platform algorithms, trends, and short-form storytelling.
- Confident shooting and editing video; understands angles, lighting, pacing, and what hooks attention.
- Proficient with Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar design and editing tools.
- Demonstrated success creating TikTok and Instagram Reels that spark real engagement.
- Able to match the brand voice: emotional, inviting, and a little bit silly.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently on tight deadlines.
- Based in the LA area for occasional in-person shoots and hybrid collaboration.
Compensation And Location
Job Type: Part-time, Contract. Pay: $20–$25 per hour (USD). Benefits include a flexible schedule. Work location is hybrid remote in Marina del Rey, CA (90292), with local in-person shoots and meetups as needed.
